Our Story

McCracken's Old World Bakery has been proudly serving Michigan customers for over 35 years.

Founded in 1984 by Ronald McCracken and his wife, Lydia, McCracken's Old World Bakery has remained a labor of love for the McCracken family. Ronald was trained as a baker while in Germany, where he honed his craft and perfected the recipes he acquired. Returning to the States in early 1980s, Ronald worked for a time at a major bakery in the area before deciding to open a bakery of his own where he could specialize in the German-styled breads and baked goods that he loved. Thanks to the quality and care put into the products, McCracken's Old World Bakery became a success and continues to attract customers from miles away.
